The Western Region Investment and Business Centre (WRIBC) was established by the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) in June 2019 as part of a broader vision to make the Western Region a leading destination for investment and sustainable economic development.
Founded under the leadership of the Hon. Regional Minister, the Centre reflects a strong commitment to unlocking the region’s full potential by actively promoting private sector participation, supporting local entrepreneurship, and attracting both domestic and foreign investment.

ABOUT US

WRIBC serves as the investment facilitation arm of the WRCC, working directly with investors, government agencies, development partners, and communities to identify viable opportunities, streamline processes, and drive economic transformation across key sectors. We are here not just to promote investment, but to build strategic partnerships that create jobs, improve livelihoods, and contribute to the long-term growth of the Western Region.

Achievements

Since our establishment, the Western Region Investment and Business Centre has played a key role in positioning the Western Region as a serious player in Ghana’s investment landscape. Through strategic initiatives, partnerships, and advocacy, we’ve delivered tangible results that continue to drive growth and visibility for the region.

We have successfully organized and led high-level regional delegations to global investment platforms in countries such as Canada and Spain, where we promoted the Western Region’s potential across key sectors and built new international partnerships.

As the region's flagship event on responsible mining and investment, the Ghana Gold Expo has attracted global attention and participation. WRIBC played a central role in coordinating and hosting this platform, which promotes ethical gold mining, policy dialogue, and investor engagement.

In collaboration with trade and diplomatic partners, we facilitated the establishment of the Ghana-India Trade Advisory Chamber, a significant step toward strengthening trade relations and investment flows between the two nations.

We supported and championed the coconut replanting initiative across the region, aimed at rejuvenating one of the Western Region’s key cash crops. The campaign supports agribusiness growth, creates jobs, and opens up export opportunities in the coconut value chain.
